So we looked into it...if u know my family we usually do not spend a lot of money on our trips since we started earning and using points. And guess what...taking the Amtrak can be used by points. Woohoo. So here we are riding a train to Seattle.
Ok ok yes flying would have been faster but the train, what about the train!! We grabbed the opportunity and booked our trip - a 34 hour train ride from LA to Seattle.
Since it was going to be a 34 hour adventure we decided to book a room with two beds and its very own bathroom. It was awesome. It would have cost us around $1100 but instead we used 25K points.
Awesome part it's cheaper to take the train by points then to fly. Another blessing was that all our food was free. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner!!! And the food was good...not amazing but good.

God is definitely great and blessed us with so many things that we do not deserve!!
