Jehovah Jireh Part 3

Proverbs 16:9 "The heart of man plans his way,
but the Lord establishes his steps."

I remember like it was yesterday, it was a Friday night and I barely got home from work. My dear husband didn't have a job then and he would wait for me before we would head over to Walnut for Bible study, but this night was different. I knew something was wrong, he looked so disappointed and sad, so I asked him and he told me to look at the computer. And there I found the "I'm sorry" letter from a company both of us were praying for. We both thought he would get it, he went to both interviews and he had a good feel about the interviews. We thought this was the job that God would give him to support our family...but He had other plans. We both stayed home that night, I tried to comfort my dear husband and we both looked at God's goodness through that hard trial.

This morning was his first of work at his new job, Praise God. God surely brought us through the fire of trusting in Him who provides and guides our steps. It's been a long journey for him to finally get to a job that would provide for our family where I wouldn't have to work. God knew better; He knew what was best for our family and not getting the job a couple of months ago was not the best according to His plans. Praise God for His sovereignty, for His providence!!
God has truly been showing me how much He has been and is taking care of our family. One weakness that I do have is worrying about finances; and time after time God has been showing me my sins and my lack of faith in Him. He is a good and gracious God, even when I am unfaithful to Him, He remains faithful to His children.

Not only did He provide my dear husband a great job where he can provide for our family but God also provided us a new used car.
Friday we thought we would drive away with a new used car, Kia Optima, but as we were talking about it at the Dr. Office we found out that someone bought it (the dealership would make more money on the other buyer). We both were sad about it but I knew God had something else for us. So Saturday we went and saw God's provision and providence at work, and we drove away with a new used car...not a Kia but a Mazda6 which is way better. Praise God for our loving Father who blesses us for His glory and our happiness in Him. I was so thankful and grateful towards God, and seeing His glory through the whole situation.

That car is "sexy"!! Praise God for his plans. Aren't you glad that you are not God. If you were God then your man would have had the wack job but this one brings home the bacon. You don't even have to work. Praise God for his sovereign will.
