A very long weekend...

So our weekend started on Thursday with my hubby only having a half day at work after selling our Mazda (Praise God it's gone). Where do you go when your whole family is free after 1pm? Well the Huntington Library in San Marino of course...especially when you have free tickets!!

Every first of the month the Huntington Library has this thing called Free Day where you can get free ticket...but only if you wake up before 9am the day the tickets go on 'sale.' And fortunately I was able to get tickets for July 1st...so off we went. The last time we went was last year and our little baby was still a little baby so she didn't get to enjoy a lot of things, but she's a walking baby now so she was everywhere. (the pictures will show you.)

We didn't go into the museums this year since the girls were wet but we did enjoy the beautiful out doors. I had more pictures but for some reason it will not upload...oh well!

Diaper changing time so I had fun with little girl

sister love!

she decided to make her own pool.

A random Thursday outing

We headed to LA to visit the Skirball Cultural Center to see the Noah's Ark exhibit which we figured little one would enjoy. At first she was a bit hesitant of touching anything and playing with the other kids, but after a while she started to get familiar with her surrounding and was all over the place. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

Our trip before she comes...

We have about 26 more days until her arrival, we are both excited about that but we also know our lives will change...so we had our trip before she arrived to SD. Oh it was so enjoyable and I praise God for every moment of it. I wanted it make sure that throughout the time we were there I didn't want us to think about all the things we still needed to do before she came home. I wanted us to enjoy each other's company and be able to relax together. And God answered our prayers and fulfilled our desires. Here's some pictures from our trip. We both were able to praise God for all His blessings, and praise God for His beauty. It was a very needed vacation.

Our place we stayed out
For dinner we decided to go to Little Italy (we had no idea SD had this)
Saturday God surprised us with a wonderful rainy day!!
For breakfast we went to a very tasty French Pastry place...oh so good!!
then off to the reason we chose SD for our vacation...

fortunately for us we had to wait 2 hours before we got in so we decided to take a nap in the car and walk around Balboa Park before we were able to go see the exhibit.

I enjoyed the exhibit very much, seeing the little scrolls and how some of them had Scripture was amazing. When we left the exhibit the sun was finally coming out to play.

It was around 5pm Saturday evening when we decided to go back to the hotel. Why you might ask? Well between 5-6pm our hotel host a "wine hour" where they provide their guest with wine...and if you know my husband...he's all about wine. We headed to the bar lounge on the 4th floor to see the sunset.

Unfortunately we didn't get to go to Extraordinary Desserts, but we did get to go Ghirardelli Chocolate and Ice Cream....oh gotta love it (sorry no pictures). Our trip ended with going to La Jolla Cove

Thank you Lord for a very wonderful vacation!!

A Night Under the Stars

Last summer we went together as an engaged couple. And this summer we went together as a newly married couple and hopefully next summer there will be three of us going. God definitely blessed us with another awesome Date Night enjoying His creation and His glory through the LA Phil Orchestra.

Our adventure started with us going to Trader Joes to buy some healthy food for dinner. I wasn't feeling anything I saw but I knew that I didn't want to spend any money over there, so I grabbed something and we left. Next on our agenda list was to find the Downey Green Line Metro and hitch a bus ride to the Hollywood Bowl. I specifically enjoyed that 30 minute ride because (1) he didn't have to drive all the way to Hollywood after work and (2) we were able to relax with one another and talk. The bus was not at all full, only three passengers and this included us, so it was nice to have alone time.

Finally we arrived and since I didn't enjoy my dinner very well, an egg sandwich, I wanted to head to the refreshment stand and that is where I saw it...HOT DOG. Oh I knew I had to have it and so after eating half the salad that we got, I headed over to get myself a Hot Dog...oh it was sooo good!

One thing about my husband that I know for a fact is, when there is FREE wine tasting you will see him there with a glass drinking it up (don't worry he didn't get drunk). After he finished his wine we headed to our seats and there we were able to relax once again and enjoy the evening listening to awesome talented people playing their instruments. I was able to see God's glory through how these talented people were able to play their instruments so well. Their fingers were moving like crazy and I was like "wow God created those hands." I praise God that during our evening together I was able to see God and praise Him and thank Him for who He is.
